Our factory direct promise
The design DNA of the Field & Marine is found in its oversized (but comfortable to wear) bayonet crown and crown protection area. This area distinguishes the Field & Marine from any other watch.
Historically the combination of the bayonet crown coupled with the screwed bezel and case back assured the water-resistance making it the first waterproof watch that really worked.
The dial and case design are inspired from the original 1919 model but updated in a subtle but noticeable way to today's aesthetic standards.
Made like Waltham would have made it today
The original patent
The bayonet crown of the Field & Marine has been developed on the basis of the original patent granted on January 28th in 1919. In total four patents for screw down crowns have been filed between 1917 and 1919 by the Depollier-Waltham team.
We made the Field & Marine like Waltham would have made it today .We respected the 1918 design DNA and applied the technology and aesthetic codes of today. The crown-caseback-bezel tripych now guarantees a water resistance of 1000ft-300m giving a new meaning to the word “Marine” in "Field & Marine". A trench watch for today with professional diving capability.
An official collaboration with a mission. Waltham belongs back to America. There is its legacy and from there it made watchmaking history. The mid-long term goal of this official collaboration between the Waltham Watch Company and Watch Angels is to bring back Waltham’s production to the US with the help of the watch enthusiasts community.
The production of the new Waltham Field & Marine has been funded by Angels in February 2021.

Deep dive with our resources and links
I did not think you could beat the CB01, but you did it with the Waltham Field & Marine! Thank you again to you and your team. This is arguably the most beautiful watch (of more than 15) that I own, right up there with my P______ 1) Good accuracy, gaining 3-5 seconds per day 2) The blue dial exceeded by far my expectations as the color came out perfectly, a huge improvement compared to the prototype. With the white numerals and arms, one starts dreaming when immersed in the white-on-blue contrast. 3) The brown leather band is super-soft, easy to wear, and completes a color match that feels made in (watchmaking) heaven. 4) The casing is the right diameter, lady or gentlemen. The thickness is right between too fine and too bulky. The statement is clear: this is a serious watch! ...and 4) THE CROWN!. Its look and size will be the envy of the industry. On top, if this is not the easiest to handle and at-the-same-time secure version, then I don't know what is (Thank You for going away from the typical screw-in crown). While my wife gifted me the watch (in a wine bar), the Waltham attracted immediately people sitting not far from us. We were very proud to tell them the very brief story of Watch Angels while watching the reaction on their faces: priceless! Looking forward to the next projects!
